About Us!
Hello, and welcome to Amelia Stitches Embroidery Design, I really hope you find something you like! 🫶
I began my small biz back in May 2020, when lockdown-cancelled A-Levels left me with a huge pile of threads, fabrics and hoops I couldn't use to finish my Textiles A-Level! I'd always loved doing arts and crafts when I was little and had started cross-stitch when I was 7, but it wasn't until lockdown that I really fell in love with embroidery.
I started out stitching commission pieces, and eventually fell in love with stitching theatre-inspired designs (You can find some of these in the photo gallery below)! I also loved stitching floral pieces, and so in February 2021, I launched my first collection of floral theatre inspired embroidery kits! 72 hours later, to my complete shock, we'd completely sold out!
Four years later, I have the help of my brilliant mum Susan, I graduated from the University of Liverpool with a first class Law degree and I've just finished my master's degree. I've also done my fair share of events, with Knit and Stitch, Stitch Festival and Musical Con being some of the biggest!
We now have over 70 embroidery kit designs inspired by pop culture, literature and theatre, and I'm endlessly grateful to still be running this biz. I really hope you find something you like on our brand new website! Please feel free to drop us a message if you have any questions!
